About Me

Professor Vasanth Andrews (MBBS, BSc(Hons), DFFP, MSc, MD, FRCOG, FACOG) is a consultant Gynaecologist, with more than 25 years of experience. He is experienced in performing operative laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery including hysterectomies, treating endometriosis, and open and vaginal surgery.

Vasanth also has a keen interest in problems following childbirth. Specifically, he has interests in the management of obstetric anal sphincter injuries, and perineal problems including wound breakdown and painful intercourse after childbirth. He is trained to perform endoanal ultrasound and anal manometry. His research in this field led to his Doctorate in the diagnosis and management of Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injuries.
He has been a member of the council of the RCOG and divisional medical director.
